Property Management Content Creation | How To Create Content That Isn’t Terrible Or Sound Like an AI
As a property manager have you given much time and thought to content creation? Probably not so much.
Most of your day is probably spent on speaking with owners, tenants, and taking care of maintenance requests. Plus there’s the paperwork and thinking about how to grow your business. Which doesn’t leave much time for creativity.
My company, Out of the Box GBP Optimization, helps property managers with content every day. I know what works.
My personal thoughts on content creation
Content creation has very few limitations. For example, many years ago I started a website called “Thrive.” It was about starting a house cleaning business when you’re over 60. It was fairly simple to come up with ideas because I was so familiar with the subject. I wrote articles like, “How to hire amazing employees,” and “How I mail 700 postcards for 20 cents each.”
For property management, articles could be based on one subject and then expand from there. For example a “3-day pay or quit” notice could expand to “How to do an eviction,” to “How much does an attorney cost when doing an eviction,” to “how to do a trash out cleaning.”
If you have trouble coming up with new ideas, do a Google search for a subject and then look at “People also ask…” for new ideas about a similar subject as your original.
For the subject “content creation” Googles “People also ask” came up with these additional article ideas: “What are the different types of content creation?” “What are the skills needed for content creation?” and “What are the tools used in content creation?”
Using AI In Content Creation | Spell Check | Brain Storming
AI writing is everywhere now. But it shouldn’t be a replacement for human interaction.
AI is good for brainstorming. For organizing thoughts. It can act as a think tank helping to come up with ideas. And then good ‘ol fashion human touch takes those ideas and creates the content. I give the content personality and proven facts.
I also like to use AI as a back-up for spell check and being sure what I’ve created reads properly.
I may have AI jump start but then I take it from there all the way to the finish.
Human Content Creation | How To Create Better Content Than Anyone Else
When potential owners and renters read your content, human experience is key.
Owners want to be sure you know how to run a property management business. They’ll want you to be able to handle anything that arises in the management of their property. Late rent, inspections, a long term mystery guest that has moved in, pets that show up. These are just some of the areas owners will question.
Tenants want to know they will be well taken care of. How quickly you’ll do repairs and handle complaints.
You’ll want your content to read the same way you sound when speaking with owners and renters. People can tell when you’re being honest with them. That’s how you gain their trust.
Short sentences. Clear points. If appropriate, even a little humor based on your personality. I’m not overly concerned if I miss a comma or something could be written more perfectly. It happens to the best of us.
How I Get Ideas for Content Creation
First, read this section: My personal thoughts on content creation.
Whatever information clients and renters are looking for can become content for an article.
Property management has many areas of expertise. From the type of properties, to what you do, to how problems are handled. Even maintenance and the usual wear and tear can be areas for articles. Another area filled with ideas is the communities and areas the properties are located in. Inspiration and creativity is endless.
I also use Google search to find ideas. I do this by doing a search and then looking at the “People Also Ask” section of the search results. For example a search for 3 day pay or quit notice led to “What happens after a 3 day pay or quit.” Also seen was “What’s required for a 3 day pay or quit notice.”
Content Creation for GBP Use | Why create content for your Google Business Profile
Content creation helps your Google Business Profile more than most managers realize. Google looks for certain content. It’s looking for businesses that are expert in what it does. Are you able to answer questions your clients and renters ask, do you have consistent reviews? Google keeps a watchful eye on every business profile including review consistency. .
On your website, you should be adding articles about your services regularly.. Place posts on social media. Do some YouTube videos or FB videos. And link it all together. And check your website to be sure all repeated information such as phone number and address, is written exactly the same way throughout.
As you gain Google’s trust, your business will climb further up the map pack right to the top! And that’s where more potential property investors and owners as well as renters will notice you immediately.
My company, Out of the Box SEO, helps property managers with GBP content. Our goal is to get you to the front of the line in the map pack. We do that by reviewing your website and working together to create what Google is looking for. We want Google to see you as the experts in your field.
Using Google is an excellent way to brainstorm about article topics.
One idea is to choose a topic that comes up regularly when you speak with an owner, something they all ask. As mentioned, topics are endless. Turn that topic/question into an outline, and then expand on it into an article. If you need AI’s help, that’s fine, then rewrite as much of it in your own words.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. What Google is looking for is consistency. That you are doing it on a regular basis. Whether it’s weekly, or monthly. Whether it’s one or four. The more consistent you are, the more Google will trust you. The more Google trusts you the more your business will grow.

Reddit – Is anyone else overwhelmed by content creation?
Question: sarah_west_1 – I feel like most content creators don’t struggle with ideas, but with organization. There are too many tabs, tools, notes, trends, and algorithm tips everywhere. One day you focus on hooks, another day on consistency, another on going viral… and everything feels scattered. Even when you work hard, growth still feels random. I’m wondering if other creators feel the same, or if you’ve found a simple system that actually keeps everything clear and focused. What’s the most confusing or frustrating part of content creation for you right now?
Answer: deluxegabriel – You’re definitely not alone. A lot of creators don’t fail because they lack ideas or effort, they burn out because everything is fragmented. Content creation today isn’t just “make a video,” it’s research, scripting, trends, hooks, posting schedules, analytics, comments, and monetization all pulling attention in different directions.
What helps many people is realizing that you don’t need to optimize everything at once. When creators try to follow every tip, every trend, and every algorithm update, nothing sticks. The ones who feel the most clarity usually simplify hard. One niche, one main format, one platform, and one success metric for a period of time.
Another big shift is separating thinking from creating. Ideas, research, and notes live in one place and are done in batches. Creation happens later without decision-making. When those two blur together, everything feels heavier and more random than it actually is.
Growth feeling random is also part of the process. The algorithm tests content unevenly, and effort doesn’t always correlate immediately with results. That’s frustrating, but it doesn’t mean the system is broken or that you’re doing it wrong.
Most creators I know who found clarity didn’t add more tools. They removed half of them and built a very boring, repeatable system they could stick to. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what keeps things from feeling overwhelming.
